Katelios is a traditional fishing village with a sandy bay situated approximately 30km from the islands capital Argostoli.  It is one of the most relaxing places on the island and is ideal for families, couples and friends that want to swim, dream, relax and eat beautiful seafood and local produce in laid back  local tavernas on situated on the waters edge.

A beautiful valley between lush hills, ideal for nature lovers, guides you to a long sandy beach with pine and eucalyptus trees perfect for sunbathing and snorkeling.  On the other side of the cove you can relax on sunbeds with umbrellas or have lunch or dinner in one of the great tavernas offering a variety of local dishes as well as seafood.  Mini markets are open until late as well a scooter hire, boat hire and car hire are all available in the village.

If guests need a little more excitement, Skala which is a little larger than Katelios offers a wide variety of shops, tavernas bars and water activities as well as a unique endless sandy beach where you can hire sunbeds and go on boat trips to Ithaca and Zykinthos.

Sandwiched between the two resorts is a large sweeping sandy beach that is perfect for families.  Kaminia and Mounda are well known for its famous caretta turtles that lay their eggs here.
There is a bus service normally twice a day that takes you to Argostoli, and also to Skala, however it is recommended to hire a car to enjoy the delights that this area and the rest of kefalonia have to offer.
